RAVE – East Village Artist Residency
RAVE is a project conceived by the artist Isabella and Tiziana Pers with Giovanni Marta. It deals with the role and responsibility of contemporary art in relation to the otherness represented by animals, and more generally with the need to rethink ourselves and our world through biocentrism. It supports contemporary artistic research and dialogue, promoting non-specist thinking in an original and innovative art project.
It takes place in a rural environment, in the medieval Borgo Soleschiano, inhabited by animals that were rescued from the slaughterhouse through Tiziana’ actions.
Artists-in-residence from 2011: ADRIAN PACI, IVAN MOUDOV, REGINA JOSE’ GALINDO, DIEGO PERRONE, TOMÁS SARACENO, IGOR GRUBIĆ, GIUSEPPE STAMPONE.
RAVE is part of The Independent, project of MAXXI Museum, conceived by Hou Hanru and curated by Giulia Ferracci and Elena Motisi.
